What is SEO content Writing?
SEO content writing, is an essential tool when it comes to digital business growing techniques. SEO content writing is meant for visibility, to gain more organic traffic and make your brand, business or website more in visibility and credibility.
It is a form of writing content like articles and blogs however, a bit different than it because here your major focus is not only to write quality-content for entertainment, or information but also concentrating on the target keywords and bringing the written piece to the top searches. But, like we all know, no one can ignore the value of quality content as it has always been the centre of the show and so everyone’s looking for it.
What is your niche?
If you’re a content creator, the first thing you need to do is know what topic you want to write on. Depending on the business and goals of the content creator, you’ll need to have specific topics in mind.
In this era being on top trends is what matters. Trend means that whatever latest is updating and that goes viral you need to adopt it right away. And of course, I know it means to be on social media every minute. Not like me, who has to convince to get online for the sake of work. Anyhow, I’ve now recognised practically too that being with the flow, you’ll find good topics that will not only get you a lot of responses but remember will also give you a lot of competition.
It’s not easy, but it’s possible. That’s why I’ve got a great way to do it.
On Google, search your niche and then click on the “news” section. Of course, news is news, so you’ll have plenty of topics to choose from, but don’t forget that uniqueness is the key to success.
News will help you suggest the trendy topic, including giving you a lot of ideas on to what you can write relevant to your niche. However, it will cut down the long wastage time and frustration of finding topics.
What is a keyword?
All of us use search engines right, while the most common ones since years is Google. So when something we type on our search bar and we find some relevant content appearing on google search results, that is actually those keywords appearing.
Suppose take my current blog post as an example: “What are the benefits of SEO content Writing; How to earn through it?” Now keywords means that you chose those words or phrases which describes the user intent. They are likely to get attracted to the heading and definitely they’ll click it. In my blog, the keywords are: “SEO content Writing.” “Benefits” “How to” “Earn.”
Now, I would suggest you all some SEO tools:
(1) Google Keyword Planner: This will tell you the search volume for the keywords, competition, and suggested bid prices for the ads under the keywords you choosing.
(2) UberSuggest: This offers different keyword suggestions, search volume data, and competition analysis.
(3) Keyword Surfer:
(4) AnswerThePublic:
(5) Wordtracker Scout:
(6) SEMrush
(7) Aherfs
(8) Moz Keyword Explorer
Another tip by the way, you can use long-tail keywords. This tells that phrases which are longer and more specific for example instead of using “Incredible Marketing.” Use “Incredible Digital Marketing strategies in 2023.” As its lower in competition than other blogs plus it signifies on the importance of specificity which deal with their target audience choice.
Second tip, you’ve to read your competitor materials especially ones on the top searches and see what common keywords most of them have used in their blogs which matches to their and your subject as well. Just note down those keywords, don’t copy paste of what they’ve written because you need to make your own stuff.
Third thing, use your keywords in your headings like H1, H2, etc.. but in a logical manner. This helps explaining google that what you’re saying is your readers choice and will reasonate with their purpose. Use those tools which I’ve mentioned to find competitors.
What is Keyword Stuffing? Why should you avoid it? How to Avoid It?
Keywords are not just based on headings. The entire structure of your content is based on keywords. Even your subheadings and meta description are based on keywords. But, it’s not keyword stuffing.
I know it’s a bit confusing, but let me break it down again. For example, let’s say you’re taking a blog to write. Take the current blog post as an example. I’ve done a lot of keyword research and compiled a list of keywords that I want to include in my blog. What does keyword stuffing mean?
It means I’m adding the same keywords over and over again with the thin line content which will be a manipulating act for the search engine. At this point, the publisher’s intention isn’t to teach people or provide useful information. It’s just to rank themselves using unnatural SEO technique. This doesn’t make your content relevant to what readers are looking for. Now here are some severe drawbacks to see as search engines will never like your work because they’re looking for a useful and unique content:
Why to Avoid it?
Poor Users Experience: Audience won’t like to read your page for a long time and you’ll find a high-bounce rate which means closing the page at the start due to non-engaging content and poor readability levels. This leads to minimum conversion rates this tell that they’ll not take a desired action such as purchasing products which might be done by a affiliate program or your own online store, signing up for a newsletter, doing subscriptions or filling out a contact form. Secondly, you’ll have minimal or no click rates, so no money too.
Search engines penalties: Other search engines including Google will lower your rank, or even remove it which is called as penalizing. This is for manipulating your target audience and search engines at the same time.
Loss of Credibility: Overusing the keywords make it spammy or untrustworthy in the eyes of people, and they’ll likely report your written piece because, its not even unique, informative and still ranking at the top search results. Your thin content is not appreciated in anyway. Write in such a way which would tell the people that you know for the topic chosen don’t be like that initially you wanted to start the topic but after a week or two you ended up with getting bored and now just trying to rank it for the sake of revenue generation.
How to Avoid It?
Writing a thin content will never get supported by search engines, like we all know the whole thing is based on information. Do accumulate the keywords but write a thick content which would naturally help you insert those words into the content structure. Rather than overusing it then trying to fix it anywhere in sentence. This is how you will avoid them stuffing.
Secondly, throughout the blog stick to your topic don’t talk unnecessarily out of the box, which might distract the audience.
Is there a difference between SEO and SEO content writing?
Most of you might have heard of what SEO is? If not then let me explain that first and then we’ll move on to the difference part.
SEO means Search Engine Optimization. It refers to the process of optimizing your website or content to improve its visibility and ranking in search engine result pages (SERPs). The goal of SEO is to increase organic (non-paid) traffic to your website and increase your earnings. This will help it making more authoritative and relevant to search engines, which are examples like Google, Yahoo, Bing. However, Google is widely used. Now let’s get into difference.
Yes, there is a difference in SEO and SEO content writing. SEO is a broader term which covers different sorts for example:
• On-page SEO
• Off-Page SEO
• Link Building
• Technical SEO
• Local SEO
• Mobile SEO
• E-commerce SEO
• Voice Search SEO
(e.t.c) {Some common Examples}
While if I say for SEO article writing, it primarily falls under the category of On-Page optimization. We’ll discuss it further on!
What is high-quality Content?
In short, SEO writing is the process of writing high-quality content in articles, blogs, or anywhere else you publish your content. But what exactly does high-quality content mean?
To put it another way, this means that users find your writing skills interesting and useful. Like you’re answering to their search queries. This means that when they leave your blog after reading your content, they have learned something that they didn't know before. High-quality content also means to write thick content rich in solutions. You solve their problems step-by-step.
This means that your written material won't just cover the basics, it will take them to the next level. This includes providing them with evidence of the earning opportunities, evidence that can open their eyes. Tell them when they can excel and why they need to excel. To explain further, I would say understand human psychology and the perfect way for is to understand what you used to think of this topic, then read what type of relevant content people are wanting to read.
High quality content also means to research thoroughly for what you’re writing. Covering different aspects. I would suggest a tip go on Quora, most people know this app, its a question answering app. You can search for your question and know what these people want.
Make it extra engaging. Starting a blog by grabbing readers attention and they feel like its solution to their problems. Then break every hard wordings or phrases into simpler and make your relevant content to your audience. Also follow a clear structure which shows a good organising pattern and slightly transition from one paragraph to another. If you’ve not a good flow users are like bouncing back because there mind is getting distracted from one Question to other. However, you may include person anecdotes in some niches like finance, business or personal development.
Thirdly, your images counts a lot. If you’ve the most relevant images added which could automatically inform clearly of what your written paragraph says is the best. They help define the concept of the paragraphs in more appropriate ways. This isn’t it, your web pages presentations counts a lot especially, when it comes to engaging with the whole website and subscribing it because your first impression is your last impression, so keep that first impression outstanding.
Make a interactive blog like adding Quizzes, poles, which users enjoy plus write in a friendly manner. This will of course, rise the readers attention and they’ll likely engage to your blog for a longer time and then they’ll be interested in other aspects of your blogs which is called as “Desired Action.” Search engines appreciates a positive user response. Increasing the likelihood of bringing your written material to top search results. All these actions make your content unique and as I said Uniqueness holds success.
Also take a call-to-action steps in between of your written materials like telling them to subscribe the blogs, follow your social media, purchase through affiliate links or fill contact forms.
What are the Earning potentials you can get through this?
Well, we’ve to admit that SEO content writing is one of those valuable skills, which most people won’t know but they want to do it, to generate passive income.
First and foremost, you can join freelancing platforms for jobs. I’ve checked that people are approximately charging around $40-$200 per hour according to your expertise and knowledge. Similarly Upwork is a good platform to work, bulk amount of people visit it and takes job while sitting home.
Secondly, if you go for a monetization strategies then Google Adsense is the most reputable and well-known advertising program. If you’re getting a sufficient amount of website traffic and have a high-quality content, following their guidelines, a good SEO content written, then why not go for this option. According to today’s information you’ll be paid 0.68% revenue from each ad clicked. However, within your content you can add affiliate marketing products which audience may buy it. Remember, selecting those products which resonates with your niche is highly important and have a high chance of buying.
After that, there are many companies in today’s digital world, especially I’ve recognised after pandemic many sources have gone online so now the businesses try to make themselves online websites where they’ve blogs about their own-selves which they want to rank on google search results and of course there steps SEO content writing. There are many marketing agencies which hires SEO content writers for for their clients. Even people have local SEO for small businesses which holds their neared location names in the SEO writing.
Writers can license their SEO content to other websites, publications and get paid from them. This allows the writers to earn passive income through their excellent writing skills because people will republish it.
Why to Have a track on your google Analytics?
Of course, this is only needed when you’re writing self published articles, this is to know your click rates, impressions and the number of people watching and the time span they’re staying there for. All this tell a person, that your content is engaging or not, and which location is it liking it. This will also tell you how far your organic traffic reach is increasing. Your people from either social media, referrals or link buildings, so that you can stay active and update your writing skills accordingly.
Link Building by both Internal Linking and External Linking?
Link building is a traffic generation way, and it is another way to build your organic traffic. However, let me explain you first what is Link Building?
It is called as hyperlinks which you link on every relevant blog post you see. But both terms differ yet they contributes in increasing your traffic through fair ways.
Internal Link Building also known as Inbound links is a best way of “link equity.” This means to pass value or authority from one webpage to other webpages showing the search engine result pages (SERPS) the relevancy between both pages and the more its connected to one another more positive response will be given by the search engines. In more simpler terms Internal linking means that you post your own blogs into your own blog post, suppose you’ve a article on “SEO article writing.” Now you’ve written a article on “Monetizing blogs from Adsense.” You will of course tell readers to go through other blog and read it, which will increase engagement rates, conversion rates, and then again Google will find it highly appreciated. You’ll find this example in my blog in the end!
Whereas the most other part is External Linking. The purpose is mostly used to increase credibility and trustworthiness of people. This involves linking some reputable website’s datas or evidences which opens eye of your readers. This is something which people appreciates, however remember do read the guidelines and policies of posting their link to yours as copyright infringement is strictly denied.
This increases your SEO, when people finds it helpful, google will rank it automatically on the higher rankings. All the purpose is to increase actual traffic and gain positive response.
