Are u a freelancer, who is looking for jobs? If so then probably, you must have been visiting platforms like Fiverr and Upwork. Because, both of them are considered excellent for remote workers.

However, unfortunately as time is passing so is the technology progressing ahead and with that remote workers are increasing too. Freelancers are looking for jobs but they don't get enough space now because of the crowd or you can say the complexities of getting work from clients due to people.

Although, I won't deny the fact that clients are also available with the same pace but still competition gets higher.

You might be facing challenges like waiting for your turn, or setting back because you're not being chosen or even not getting paid as expected.

But worry not, because today I’ve brought the solution for you. So, without any further ado, let’s get started!

My Personal useful Experience:

Years ago, when I began my journey in content writing and in graphic designing, I looked at many platforms that offered the tasks. I myself too picked Fiverr, and Upwork for searching jobs. However, gradually I recognised that getting work is hard. Why is that? First, because clients from around the world are lined up, so it's a very competitive market.

Second, I would see the price that you can offer is relatively low cost compared to competition. However, what I'm trying to say is that it's not impossible to reach, it's just hard. We found out the wide variety to open more options for such people.

Both Fiverr and Upwork have their own cons but pros too. They are huge and freelancers can take as work graphic designers, writing, editing, web development, mobile web development, translation, voice-over work, video editing, virtual assistance, data entry, SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), your content creation, copywriting, business consulting and more. So, it is your chance that you can win projects, I am not being biased at any point, despite that it has been my up-till now experience.

Now, I would share some more problems of it as well:

Fiverr

Limited communication from clients, now discussing huge projects with details are harder due to fiverr messaging system.

Fiverr does take a limited portion of your earned money, whether you’ve earned much or less, that doesn’t matter. It has fixed a percentage like its for 20% per order you receive. So whether you’ve earned $5 or $50 you’ll give 20% out of it.

Suppose from $5 dollar $1 dollar will go to Fiverr and the rest $4 to you. Similarly on $50, fiverr would charge $10 from you and $40 is earned by you. However, now its up to your decision whether you choose it or no, but I will describe Fiverr alternative today in this blog.

Upwork

Upwork has its own cons. For example, it charges a amount of service fees from freelancers when they earn. It is about 10%. So, on average people can make up to $20 per hour or even less sometimes and more too. However, if its $20, then you’ll have to give $2 to Upwork.

Upwork has limited connects means you’ll be given some points per task and if no one gives you work and you’ve added your points and that’s important when you’ve to ask for work. Your points will be wasted. So it limits the job applications.

Upwork payment system can be hard sometimes due to slow systems of processing however it is “sometimes”

As now time is passing drawbacks are building but at the same time solutions are building too. Now, there are many awesome platforms came into view. Which are like fiverr and upwork so instead of waiting for your turn you can go for this option and that is exactly why I am writing this blog today. Here are five alternatives of Fiverr and Upwork.

1. PeoplePerHour

PeoplePerHour, is a freelancing platform, where businesses hire freelancers depending on their expertise. Freelancers first sign up for an account, provide all the details of their skills, expertise, and give a strong portfolio related to who they are, how far they can work for them. Similarly, if you provide sample of your creation like you’re a graphic designer then you upload some designs like banners, logos or business cards and more.

It helps differentiating from other competitors and also clients get more sure of your work. However, if a business select you for a project you’ll have a agreement session where both will agree on the scope of work, milestone, and payment schedule. You can fix the payment way and all that stuff according to you own.

However, the services you can provide on this platform is:

1. Writing

2. Graphic Design: Logo, web design, banner e.t.c.

3.Web Development

4. Digital Marketing

5. SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

6. Social Media Marketing

7. Video Production

 8. Translation

9. Virtual Assistance

10. Photography

 11. App Development

 12. Illustration

13. Data Entry

 14. Accounting

15. Legal Services.

However, do know that there is still less fees charged but only on projects which are less than $350 and the percentage is 20%.

2. Dribble

Dribble is a platform meant for earning and you can post jobs related to product design, graphic designs, logo designs and other creative skills as well. So, the platform doesn’t have payment systems itself however, you can still get clients by showcasing your work and earn.          independently on your own. However, its a great place because other graphic designers or experts can comment too, because its a skill sharing platform, so you can get experienced as a beginner. However, this platform is primarily meant for graphic designers.

3. Guru

Guru is a good alternative of Upwork and Fiverr. This offer freelancers with different job offers and you can find your potential clients from there too. You have to create your profile and tell about the skills you know. However, there is a 2.9% commission fees whenever you get paid unless you’re using eCheck or Wire transfer.

Guru offers so many tasks:

Web development
Mobile app development
 Software engineers
Website design, and more.
Content writing
Graphic designing
Data entry and more..

One thing is unique that Guru.com gives feature called “Guru Workspace.” This helps in project management, communication, file sharing, and invoicing, streamlining the workflow and enhancing transparency between clients and freelancers. That is good to communicate through audience.

4. ClearVoice

ClearVoice is another platforms for Content writers. First to enter you have to sign up the freelancer account. Then you’ve to provide your skills there, your experience and rates there. You’ve to upload writing samples, or links.

However, before applying to any task do read the job description carefully. So, that you better understand the client’s requirements, deadlines and project scope.

ClearVoice itself handle the payment process to ensure that freelancers are getting paid however, the payment system is slow in process.
The reason is they need to wait to get funds clear, before payment reaches to them.

And the limited control on pricing by freelancer is another thing to keep an eye on, as clients ultimately decided whom to hire. They pay  freelancers per word. Usually under $0.30 so it was said that on thousand word article the writer could expect around earning $100. However, 25% of their service fees is being counted so you’ll earn up to $75 in that case. Mostly the clients filters the job

5. WriterAccess

WriterAccess is the platform for all content writers. In fact, the reason I’m recommending more content writers platforms is because most of the platforms I’ve looked at are these, however, I’ve also looked at other platforms. WriterAccess unites freelance writers with editors, agencies with content strategy. If you write a high-quality content, to target audience that indeed this is a good strategy.

WriterAccess offers different opportunities which includes blog writings, Website Copy, SEO content Writing, social media content, E-mail marketing, technical writings.

The procedure is that suppose someone owns a business and they want some content creation in terms of writing skills. It could be either a blog post, SEO article writing, or any thing else. However, there are profiles submitted and being shown at the app. The business owner can hire anyone they like. However, the profile they’ll be looking at would answer these questions:

This is so that the clients can find the right freelancers for their project.

• What fields of content writing you write in?
• Your writing background and professional experience.
• Your education
• What assists you provide (e.g blogs, articles.)

Your are going to get paid per word or per project, and WriterAccess takes the responsibility of your money.

Conclusion:

In summary, the freelancing world, is occupied through Fiverr and Upwork as these are one of the popular platforms work, however, when it comes to their crowd and chances of getting work for a beginner, this could he hard. So, the reason I’ve brought these 5 platforms is that I want to convey that don’t be upset now, because your freelance talent will never be wasted and you can opt for these softwares too. I’ve given the details about each one.
